Retail Team Leader

Batch Nashville is currently looking for a new Team Leader to join our staff at the retail store located inside of the Nashville Farmers Market. For Batch, Team Leaders are leaders on the sales floor, respected by their peers, able to delegate, and always willing to learn and teach. They will report to the retail store manager and are responsible for maintaining operations in the absence of the store manager as well as delegating tasks to, leading, coaching, and empowering sales associates during their shifts. Additionally, team leaders are essential to creating continuity in operating procedures and communication across shifts. Team leaders may also be assigned independent ongoing or one-off tasks (such as organization of certain store areas, inventory, or gift concierge) by the store manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute and maintain the highest standard of all Sales Associate responsibilities

  • Prioritize sales floor tasks while delegating in order to accomplish all store goals and operational procedures while ensuring excellent customer experience

  • Refer to checklists and standard operating procedures as established by retail store manager to ensure completion of all basic daily tasks (cleaning, store recovery, restock, store presentation)

  • Complete all cash handling during shift (opening or closing drawer, making change for the drawer)
Use standard operating procedures to assist the store manager in maintaining accurate levels of inventory
  • 
Coach other teammates in the moment on customer service as well as best practices and standard operating procedures with the spirit of constant growth over and against blame or frustration
  • Maintain open and active communication with store manager

Requirements
  • At least 1-2 years of previous retail or customer service experience

  • History or proven leadership responsibilities a plus

  • At least one day of weekend availability (no exceptions, preference will be given to those with full weekend availability)


Hours & Pay

  • Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience; for reference and comparison, all sales associates start at $12/hour
  • 
Hours are flexible based on your needs. This is a PART-TIME position, however, so 28 hours/week is the maximum. Ideally, you would be looking for 12-20 hours/week on 2-3 days/week.

Retail Associate

Batch Nashville is seeking part-time sales associates to work in our award-winning Nashville Farmers' Market shop. 

$12/hour Part-time 10-15 hours/week

This position is open now and candidates must be available at least one “peak shift”—either Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday.

The ideal candidate for this role will bring these qualities and experiences:

  • A knowledge and love of Nashville and locally made goods 
  • Flexible schedule, ability to work consistent weekend shifts
  • Be available to work on both weekdays and weekends
  • Strong work ethic, no task is too small or insignificant
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Effective communicator with customers and coworkers
  • Personable, positive, passionate demeanor that seeks to warmly engage customers with about being annoying
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and selling skills

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the sales floor, back of the house inventory, gift wrap and point of sale
  • Provide product and brand information to customers
  • Approach tasks with a "Can-do" mentality and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to manage time and tasks effectively without supervision
  • Approach customer service with a focus on building relationships with customers and making their lives better
  • Assist in Operational Tasks, including Visual Merchandising/Store Presentation
  • Meet and listen to customers, ask questions and attend to shoppers' needs
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
